Visiting home

Budapest..

Even tho neither of us was born there, it feels like home. Even after we both left it, it still brings back a lot of memories, feelings, both sad and happy. With all of the familiar streets, tourist routes we both walked along many times, with all the sweet smells coming form the huts which are selling chimney cakes.. It is home. It will always remain home..

At the very end of the summer, we went back to Hungary after more than a year to visit our dearest friends and families. We spent there 1.5 weeks, and visited everything and everyone we could.
Here comes our visiting in pictures :)

How cute they are..
and how happy they look that i am leaving (to visit my Grandparents)  :D
I honestly think I have the best grandparents in the whole world. They were at the station, waiting for me to arrive. even tho I am old enough to have a child on my own, they still think I am 5 and would lost without them. <3
Back to the capital, again walking along the Danube

Yepp, this is a Christmas tree. I didn't manage to find out if this was left like this since last Christmas, or it is already dressed up for this Christmas. (We visited in  late August).
 This is already Szentendre

 ..and Obuda..

..late night walk, which probably was expected from us.

One of our best friends lent us her apartment, and the neighborhood  was full with lovely cats. He always tried to sneak in.
The necessary bogrács, just to feel us truly home.
..and some board game..
River Danube. maybe because we were early, but there was only 1 family here who enjoyed the (surprisingly) cool water on that hot day. (I honestly thought it will be much warmer.)
Olga's garden furniture. She really knows how to create a welcoming atmosphere.

We were not quite lucky with the weather here. However the temperature was still near 30 degrees (Celsius), just the sun was missing.

I think it is so typical Hungarian thing, that they keep it all year, and not in February when it is meant.

 Margaret Island
My favorite place in the whole island.

(this is meant to be funny)

One thing I really like in the architecture is these random sculptures.

 Heroes' square

No bribery needed :D, Ha wanted to touch it.

Oh yes, we love animals here..
we don't discriminate, they can be cooked, steamed, fried or baked, we love them anyway.
Girls' night out ended in Margaret island..

After this we ended up in a pub, so no worries, it was a true night out. :D
